mancha

Tag is a similar game in England.

Tag (also called tig, it, tiggy, tips, tick, tip) is a playground game involving one or more players chasing other players in an attempt to "tag" and mark them out of play, usually by touching with a hand. There are many variations; most forms have no teams, scores, or equipment. Usually, when a person is tagged, the tagger says, "Tag, you're 'It'!" The last one tagged during tag is "It" for the next round.

agree Helena Chavarria : Your answer is more complete, which is why it took longer to prepare. It often happens to me. // I quite agree.

Thank you Helena. Yes, often happens to me too but I feel a complete answer is more useful.
agree neilmac : We called it tig when I was growing up in Glasgow... and being "it" was "het"... :)
