Figure below shows data processing in the estation (environmental station) architecture where data is either received through the EumetCast, FTP or web services; the system automatically scans these three (3) data sources.
Once the data is stored in the estation directory, then it can be processed further.
The first step in processing is to convert the data from HDF to geotiff format then stored again or further processed to produce derived products (this is done automatically) which can then be stored in a database.
The get layer scans data sources, the ingest layer feeds the data into the Processing Station (PS) which extracts information from the data and stores it in a database.
