Crosstalk is a type of Interference from an adjacent channel or wire, which is caused by electromagnetic interference, along a circuit or a cable pair. A telecommunication signal disrupts a signal in an adjacent circuit and can cause the signals to become confused and cross over each other.

Discussion
I know it is an established term however the translation does not state/depict the accuracy of the word's meaning. I - and possibly many others, know of additional established terms that are CLEARLY wrong but we continue to use them.
Crosstalk is the product (end result). EMI is what causes Crosstalk. You see/hear crosstalk when the fan is too close to the TV, when the Mobile rings while sitting on top of the DVD player, when the wires/cables are bundled too many together because a contractor did not want to use the proper conduit and because the Engineer did not think of EMI Filering devices (to minimize or stop the possible crosstalk), when the radio owner broadcasts on somebody else's frequency and you watch two TV stations at once, or listen to two games....total blubber..... similar to the various morning, noon shows and News when you have more than one person talk at the same time and it sounds like a DIAFONIA ??
