equipment
I would imagine this refers to equipment used in the field; machinery, measuring instruments, and so on, but I have not idea what exactly this equipment would be.

Based on the Google search, I'd like to raise my confidence level to high . . . but don't know how.

: I guess "field items" are equipment that may well normally be used in the office or laboratory, but is also useful to take into the field at times too. (in addition to normal outdoor equipment: monitors, plant controls, etc.

: In process control jargon, the field is everything peripheral to the (central) control unit or system, so 'field items' is a catch-all for everything used in the 'field' - e.g. sensors, transducers, network components, etc.

: I'm sorry, but I don't understand what that means./Thank you. I know what a gizmo is. Your suggestion however probably wouldn't help the asker, and is not appropriate in context. And we can do without your snide comments.

: I agree with Can's comments here. I think "gizmos" would be a very poor translation in this instance.// I accept your correction(s), Morad. But I still think it would be a bad choice of word!

No case of translation in a monolingual pair occures, but some sort of interpretation!!!!/think just what ur wisdom enjoins.
