Service I agree with Mihaela, we list this root tinting job as a "service". However, normally in UK we would have (as per my links) a list entitled something like "services" and then the individual items, such as "root tinting" or "highlights" would be nouns standing on their own. (Examples from Hairdressing salons are given in my answer).

Varianta cu tinting poate fi populara in UK dar eu (si crede-ma in afara de regular maintenance am eu o chestie a mea de - pe unde ajung - nu uit sa ma duc si la spa) nu am auzit aceasta expresie. Varianta uzuala este roots, pur si simplu.
Daca, insa, este vorba despre manopera nu in sensul de tarif ci de munca in sine, atunci este service. Similar, colouring services: roots, highlights.

@ Maria Letitia This depends on the context. On most price lists of services this is itemised as simply "root tint", "tinting" something like that. Will research a bit more for you and show you examples.

Lara, then what would you call the action of tinting someone's roots in the beauty parlor ? I have of list of services they provide in a beauty center. So the cost for tinting the roots, but I need the noun that should replace "labor".

Depending on what this service actually involves. You need to just use the noun without the reference to work/labor etc as this is never used.
