(the) imperviousness of the sources
A radioactive source, sealed in an impervious container that has sufficient mechanical strength to prevent contact with and dispersion of the radioactive material under the conditions of use and wear for which it was designed.

Radioactive material or byproduct that is sealed in an impervious container designed to prevent leakage or escape of the material.

leakage from sealed sources
Radiation monitoring is used to detect the presence of radioactive contamination from open source work, to detect the presence of radioactive leakage from sealed sources, and to detect the presence of exposure fields from radioactive materials.
Testing for leakage or contamination of sealed sources
(1) Each sealed source, except as specified in paragraph (B) of this rule, is tested for leakage or contamination and the test results are received before the sealed source is put into use unless the licensee has a certificate from the transferor indicating that the sealed source was tested within six months before transfer to the licensee;

Astfel:
- etanseitate (la modul general): integrity, leak resistance, tightness, leaktightness, seal (cum bine spunea mai devreme Lake78)
- etanseitate la presiune: pressure-tightness
- etanseitate la aer/apa/foc: airtightness/watertightness/fire integrity
- etanseitatea unei incinte: containment integrity/leaktightness

tested for leakage
Because the subject sentence in ST eventually leads to ISO 9978 and the translation is to EN, the sentence should be rephrased to reflect the title (in EN) of ISO 9978: "Radiation protection -- Sealed radioactive sources -- Leakage test methods". This is IMHO the difference between plain translation and technical writing.
