German term

vorkalkulatorisch

German to English Social Sciences International Org/Dev/Coop contract
Der Kostenschätzung liegen die zum Zeitpunkt der Angebotserstellung ***vorkalkulatorisch*** ermittelten Gemeinkosten-Sätze zugrunde. Die Abrechnung im Rahmen der Jahres- und Schlussrechnung(en) erfolgt gemäß Preisverordnung in Höhe der tatsächlich angefallenen und ***nachkalkulatorisch*** ermittelten Einzel- und Gemeinkosten.

Looking for an elegant way to say vorkalkulatorisch and nachkalkulatorish. Weirdly there are 0 Linguee hits.

preliminarily

Whilst I agree "pre-costed" is the effective meaning, It is a little difficult to fir into the sentence structure

agree Cillie Swart : seems plausible, thanks for sharing

neutral Andrew Bramhall : It is so seldom that one hears 'preliminary' in adverbial form;

neutral Adrian MM. : paradoxically clunky and does not convey the costing.

pre-calculated

In der VOB/B ist die Bestimmung für die Preisanpassung nicht genau festgelegt. Die Berechnung erfolgte bislang grundsätzlich durch die “vorkalkulatorische Preisfortschreibung”. Diese Rechtsprechung hat der BGH im Jahr 2019 mit zwei grundlegenden Entscheidungen geändert (hier aber in Hinblick auf § 2 Abs. 3 VOB/B).

In the VOB/B, the determination of the amount of the claim is not precisely specified. Up to now, the adjustment of the calculation was basically carried out by applying a ”pre-calculated price update – vorkalkulatorische Preisfortschreibung”. This case law was changed by the BGH in 2019 with two fundamental decisions (here, however, with regard to Section 2 (3) VOB/B).

By analogy, nachkalkulatorish would be post-calculated

German term (edited): vorkalkulatorisch ermitteln/t

precost/ed

nachkalkulatorisch ermittelt: post-costed

kalkulatorisch: the starting point is Kalkulation that is a 'fuzzy match' IMO verging on a false friend with calculation, but meaning costing.

Read the phrase as a whole with ermitteln.

Link to Einzel- und Gemeinkosten : individual and overhead (Zahn banking & finance dictionary) costs to capture the true flavo(u)r, in general, and in the catering trade, in particular (see the example sentence and second weblink).
Example sentence:

precosting: a type of sales analysis that projects cost of sales figures, enabling managers to review and adjust operations before an actual service or meal period begins.
