Bahasa Inggeris hingga Bahasa Cina: A PEP TALK FROM KID PRESIDENT General field: Lain-lain Detailed field: Falsafah
Teks sumber - Bahasa Inggeris I think we all need pep talk. The world needs you. Stop being boring! Yeah, YOU! Boring is easy. Everybody can be boring whether you're good or not. Life is not a game, people! Life isn't a cereal either. Well, it is a cereal. And if life was a game, aren't we on the same team? I mean, really right? I'm on your team. Be on my team. This is life, people! We got air coming free to your nose. You got heartbeat.. (boom boom..) that means you got to do something. A poem, "two roads diverged in the woods.. and I took the road less traveled.." And it hurt, man! Really bad! Rocks! Thorns! and Glass! my… broke! waahh! Not cool, Robert Frost! But what if there really were two paths? I want to be in the one that leads to awesome. It's like that dude Journey said, "Don't stop believing… unless your dream is stupid", then you should give up your dream. I think that's how it goes. You better dream to keep going. Keep going, keep going, and keep going. What if Michael Jordan had quit? Well, he did quit. No, he retired. Yeah. Yes, he retired. But before that, in high school. What if he quit when he didn't make the team? He would never make Space Jam and I love Space Jam. What will be your Space Jam? What will you create to make the world awesome? Nothing if you keep sitting there! That's why I'm talking to you today. This is your time! This is my time! It's OUR time! We can make everyday better for each other. If we're all on the same team, let's start acting like it. We got work to do. We can cry about it or we can dance about it. We were made to be awesome. Let's get out there. I don't know everything. I'm just a kid but I know this, it's everybody's duty to give the world a reason to dance so get to it! You just been pep talked! Create something that will make the world awesome. Play ball!
Terjemahan - Bahasa Cina

Teks sumber - Bahasa Inggeris 1. Recalling the ending. Often they made the mistake of recalling the ending of the relationship, rather than the loving connection itself. For instance, they might recall the last heated argument that led to the breakup, or the ugly divorce process, the horrible terminal illness, or whatever other unpleasant events resulted in the ending of the relationship, rather than the loving relationship itself. Even when they recall this event in a dissociated way, as if seen on a TV screen, the feelings are of unpleasantness, rather than loving connection. Many people recall these events as if they were happening here and now, with the full intensity of the unpleasantness of the original event. This ending of the relationship is not the precious experience that the person is grieving for, and this common mistake makes it impossible to experience the special loving feelings that they had with the lost person. When someone recalls the ending, one of the first steps in the process is to ask them to think of what they loved and appreciated about the lost relationship, rather than the end of the relationship. This is a request to the client to change the content of their representation. For some people, shifting attention from the ending to a special memory of the lost person is a complete intervention, and they don't have to go through the rest of the processes below. When they remember the good times as if they are happening again, they no longer feel any loss. As Dr. Seuss said, "Don't cry because it's over; be glad that it happened." If their image of the end of the relationship continues to intrude and trouble them, you can use the NLP phobia cure in order to resolve it, and you could also use some other intervention that examines the ending in order to learn from it, and then applies those learnings to future scenarios, so that they are prepared for any potential repetition.
Terjemahan - Bahasa Cina 1.

Terjemahan - Bahasa Inggeris Dragon Lake was once known as Dabei Lake, and also referred as “Toapi Lake” in Taiwanese dialect. Being one of Lanyang Twelve Attractions in the past, the lake is located in Jiaoxi Township in Longtan Village, six kilometres away from Yilan city centre. Public transport there is convenient too. Surrounded by hills, the area of the lake is approximately seventeen hectares and the water level is as deep as fifteen metres with a broad surface, making it the lake with the largest area of five large famous lakes in Yilan. Around the lake, the primitive nature is still kept. If you take a walk around the lake, you would just see green trees with their leaves hanging on shade with butterflies dancing around. Sometimes, you get to see some egrets on the surface of the lake, and these creatures enhance the sense of beauty of the quiet scenery. There are several temples near the lake. Longtan Temple is located on the hillside, and you can go there by following the hillside path of a forked road from the lakeside. The temple is a quiet place for Buddhist. From there, the scenery of the whole Dragon Lake can be seen. Huangdi Shrine of the Xuanyuan religion is located on a forked road near the loop of the lake. Huangdi is worshiped as the founder of the religion. Zhangfu Temple is located not far away from the south of Dragon Lake. In the temple, Zhang the Saint King is worshiped. This temple induces effectively with strong incense, and is also a centre where the villagers gather and pray as well as to seek for beautiful and serene scenery.

Teks sumber - Bahasa Inggeris How strange is the lot of us mortals! Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he sometimes thinks he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people-first of all for those upon whose smiles and well-being our own happiness is wholly dependent, and then for the many, unknown to us, to whose destinies we are bound by the ties of sympathy. A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving. I am strongly drawn to a frugal life and am often oppressively aware that I am engrossing an undue amount of the labor of my fellow-men. I regard class distinctions as unjustified and, in the last resort, based on force. I also believe that a simple and unassuming life is good for everybody, physically and mentally. I do not at all believe in human freedom in the philosophical sense. Everybody acts not only under external compulsion but also in accordance with inner necessity. Schopenhauer's saying, "A man can do what he wants, but not want what he wants," has been a very real inspiration to me since my youth; it has been a continual consolation in the face of life's hardships, my own and others', and an unfailing well-spring of tolerance. This realization mercifully mitigates the easily paralyzing sense of responsibility and prevents us from taking ourselves and other people all too seriously; it is conducive to a view of life which, in particular, gives humor its due.
General field: Seni/Sastera Detailed field: Sejarah
Terjemahan - Bahasa Inggeris I held the telephone transmitter and read slowly when suddenly an international call was connected. It was a call from a famous overseas Chinese newspaper office.
“Mr. Yu, do you know that Zhang-Ailing is dead? She was found dead alone in her apartment in America. It has been several days till now. They found her recently, on the eve of Mid-autumn Festival. Our newspaper will spare a whole page length to mourn for her. Among these, we have arranged a phone interview with you. You know that the foundation of her works were about Shanghai, please do not reject us. We did not have enough time to distribute manuscripts. Would you please start speaking now?” right away, the female editor said.
“It came all of a sudden. Let me have some time to think and please call me back after half an hour”, I said.
Within that half an hour, I thought a lot. I was too young to mourn for her. There was once when I saw the master of International Dance, Mr. Lin-Huaimin who heard of Shanghai excitedly indicated: “I’m looking for Shanghai of Zhang-Ailing”. He wasn’t that old. Lin-Qingxia once happily told me before that her understanding and love towards Shanghai mostly came from Zhang-Ailing. The first half of this year, I went traveling alone in the cities of Malaysia. The newspaper office of every city arranged me to meet the local readers for discussion meeting. Of the questions asked by the readers, Zhang-Ailing’s name was frequently heard. These readers were even younger. Domestically, everyone knew that Zhang-Ailing was ranked very front in the list of selection of the 20th Century Chinese Master of Literature, voted by a group of the people who returned to Beijing after obtaining doctor of philosophy in literature. There were many disputes about the selection but not much on Zhang-Ailing’s ranking. This has proved that Zhang-Ailing was enjoying the excitement beyond her age. She still unexpectedly “lives”, but far away from all these excitements.
Bahasa Inggeris hingga Bahasa Cina: U.S. space tourist, Russians return to Earth General field: Lain-lain Detailed field: Kewartawanan
Teks sumber - Bahasa Inggeris NEAR ARKALYK, Kazakhstan (Reuters) – A Soyuz capsule carrying a U.S. space tourist and two Russians bumped down safely in Kazakhstan on Friday, ending a string of mishaps on previous landings that have raised concerns about its safety.
"I feel great. I feel very good. Re-entry was perfectly smooth," a smiling Richard Garriott, who paid $35 million for his 12-day journey into space, told Reuters after a Russian recovery team extracted him from the capsule.
Charred black from its fiery re-entry into Earth's atmosphere, the craft slowed its descent with a large parachute and fired special gunpowder engines to cushion its landing.
It came to rest in a puff of dust in a field 80 km (50 miles) north of the town of Arkalyk at 0336 GMT as planned.
A NASA Television live feed from a mission control center in Moscow described it as a flawless on-target landing.
Its success was a relief for Russian and U.S. officials who have been worried about the landings after the capsule malfunctioned twice over the past year, subjecting crews to dangerous "ballistic" re-entries.
A ballistic landing is steeper than a normal one and subjects crews to massive gravitational forces. A South Korean astronaut said she feared death during such a landing in April.
"I don't recall such a perfect landing as this one," Anatoly Perminov, head of Russia's space agency Roskosmos, told reporters in Moscow. "We did everything that was possible and more, and the landing was just ideal. The crew feel fine."
After the touch down, recovery teams surrounded the capsule, opened the hatch and extracted the cosmonauts as the first rays of the morning sun lit up the barren steppes of Kazakhstan.
Garriott, a U.S. video game magnate, came back from the International Space Station alongside Russian cosmonauts Sergei Volkov and Oleg Kononenko.
The American, son of NASA astronaut Owen Garriott, and Volkov, whose father Alexander was in space when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, are the first second-generation spacemen to fly together -- a symbolic act at a time when U.S-Russia relations are particularly tense.
"This was a pinnacle experience and the ride up on Soyuz was phenomenal -- what a beautiful machine," said Garriott, as his father came over and shook his hand at the capsule.
"Of course the International Space Station is astounding and the ride home was everything you know it was advertised to be."
The crew, wrapped in blankets against freezing temperatures, were carried in special reclining chairs to an inflated medical tent for a scheduled check-up as they acclimatized to Earth's gravity. NASA said all three were in "excellent shape."

General field: Lain-lain Detailed field: Pelancongan & Perjalanan
Terjemahan - Bahasa Inggeris Shanghai Government and Walt Disney Company of the United States announced that the CPC Central Committee has approved the project application to build Disneyland Theme Park in Pudong New District of Shanghai. Expected to be completed by 2013, it is estimated that the theme park will annually receive 3 million tourists. Experts said that Disneyland in Shanghai may help to boost up consumers consumption up to RMB 480 billion in the service industry, real estate development as well as development of infrastructure. According to Shanghai Liberation Daily, Disneyland differs from other theme parks as it is also a cultural park. Disneyland in different countries usually integrates in element of local culture to attract tourists. The same report indicated one of the main topics is how are people going to adapt the local culture of Shanghai. In future, it may not be surprising to see Chinese elements to be integrated in the Disneyland of Shanghai. On the other hand, Disneyland of Shanghai will be four times bigger than Disneyland of Hong Kong. Dispute is that if the newly built Disneyland will attract tourists away from Hong Kong. Disneyland of Hong Kong responded that its source of tourists is mainly from South East Asia, which means there will be no competition between the both. In addition, there will be an extension for Disneyland of Hong Kong and more attractive programs and activities will be held and so the number of tourists will not be affected.
General field: Sains Detailed field: Lain
Terjemahan - Bahasa Inggeris Frank Drake is known as the Father of Research in the Extraterrestrial Civilizations Science of the United States. He is also the founder of the SETI Program. SETI Program, the world’s largest computer network allows everyone to download the programs provided by SETI to individually use the radio telescope of Arecibo, Puerto Rico through the computer which provides wireless signals astronomical information and to choose suspicious Extraterrestrial Civilizations signals. According to Drake, he believes that there are 200 billion stellar in the galaxy and there might be at least 200 highly developed Extraterrestrial Civilizations hidden among the planets. However, some said estimated that the number may range between ten thousand to one million. According to Cyclops Program, a thousand telescopes will be set in a broad area with a distance of 15 kilometers to receive 1000 light years of Extraterrestrial Civilizations signals. To inform Extraterrestrial Civilizations of the existence of the people of earth, human beings used to send information of Earth Civilization to the deep space through spacecraft but there is no response until now. In order to explain contradiction between speculation and reality, scientists suggested a Zoo Theory. The theory explains earth as an experimental zoo for aliens to watch changes on earth and they are prohibited to keep contact with creatures on Earth. Another theory indicates that aliens treat humans as innocent babies and assume that communication is difficult. Canadian scientist recently reported that Earth is aged about 20 billion years younger than other similar planets in the galaxy.
