not direct

Hello
With the full version, you can save the pdf file as rtf, but you wil loose most layout information.
Direct work is not possible.
You should ask your client for the source files.

Not directly

Hi Gabriela,
By definition, PDF is not directly editable, which is why you cannot use Acrobat as a front end when working with Trados TW. You will need to convert the PDF file into RTF, for example, before using Workbench.
There have been bundles of threads regarding the conversion from and to PDF - search the forums, you\'ll find a lot.
Best regards, Ralf

To keep the layout
Mar 27, 2003
I import the .pdf into CorelDraw. If the text is really text (not a picture)I can paste it into Word and translate it with Trados (or use the .rtf extract as Ralf suggested). Then back in CorelDraw for the layout, and save as .pdf again.
The result is seamless if one is used to work with CorelDraw.
