I would also add a list of any published translations, i.e. full length books translated, chapters in books, journal articles. Not ephemera such as blogs, emails, brochures.

Confidentiality issues May 30, 2020

A worrying trend is that many agencies ask for samples of your work and (more worryingly) names of clients. I don't see how to get round this, and the need for references is also a problem, due to confidentiality issues. Would it be acceptable to agencies if I just put something like '1981 - Translated a technical manual for a shipping company' (without mentioning the name of the company or the type of manual)?

The ISO 17100 requirement is also a cause for concern as they ask you to prove experience of 5 years - but how? I can't send them my work because of confidentiality issues. (I have two degrees but not in translation)
